Dalek chocolate cake

A chocolate cake recipe for those who find that death by chocolate is not enough – and want extermination by chocolate.

When only a Dalek cake will do, you should opt for the largest and most chocolate-covered cake (of course) and this site provides the recipe for just that.

At around fourteen inches high, this cake is enough for the entire Cult of Skaro and probably most of the Daleks kept waiting hungry in the Genesis Arc, too. The recipe is easy to follow, and we suspect that it wouldn’t be difficult to make one which is somewhat neater than the photograph on the site.

Still, a cake which incoporates two 8-inch chocolate sandwiches, two chocolate Swiss rolls, at least 400g of milk chocolate – all covered with Flakes, chocolate fingers, Maltesers and buttons has got to be worth the effort – and the fact that it’s Dalek-shaped is just the (ahem) icing on the cake. Sorry, we couldn’t resist the pun.
