New series 12-inch Emperor’s Guard Dalek released

Character Options has released a new 12-inch remote controlled Dalek – the Imperial Guard Dalek from ‘Parting of the Ways’.

This new Dalek only seems to be available from selected branches of Woolworth’s – the one below came from the Blackpool branch but they have been spotted in other branches too – though not all of the branches have them. They are now also available from the Woolworth’s Web site.

We’ve not seen these available from any other source yet, so they may be exclusive to Woolworth’s (just as the ones with the cutter/claw are exclusive to Toys ‘R’ Us).

The Dalek is up to the usual Character Options quality – and features a black dome and, replacing the usual arm/plunger, a ‘sensor arm’.

The price from Woolworths was £34.99.

Also out now is the new Dalek bubble bath. These cost around £5-£7 depending on where you buy, the cheapest price seems to be Boots at around £5 –- and available in a 3-for-2 offer! Possibly the cheapest way to build a Dalek army! These are pretty good quality and make a reasonable model Dalek – they stand around seven inches high, just smaller than the recently released Dalek money box (which costs around £10). It’s not quite as robust as the money box, but it’s pretty good.
