Ben Kingsley denies playing Davros

According to Digital Spy, Sir Ben Kingsley has denied all knowledge of playing Davros in the next series of Doctor Who.

When asked to confirm if he was going to play Davros, Kingsley said that he “never heard about this”.

As reported on Dalek Links, the Star had previously reported that Kingsley would play Davros in the season climax – possibly alongside Mickey Smith, Rose Tyler, Pete Tyler and Jackie Tyler.

The character of Davros was the creator of the Daleks, and was introduced in the 1975 story Genesis of the Daleks – a story which is often voted as the fans’ favourite all-time Doctor Who story.
