Dalek Masterplan raises £18,000 for charity

The stage production of the Dalek Masterplan raised around £18,000 – which is going to a range of charities.

Nick Scovell, the man behind this year’s stage production of the Dalek Masterplan, tells us that the production raised a huge £18,000 for charity.

The money will be divided between the Restoration Fund for the New Theatre Royal (in Portsmouth, where the production was staged), the BBC’s Children in Need appeal and the ACCORD Hospice in memory of Helen MacDonald (David Tennant’s mother, who died this year).

This means that the team has raise a total of around £30,000 from all of its shows – having also recreated the classic Doctor Who stories Evil of the Daleks, Fury from the Deep and The Web of Fear.

I’m sure you’d all like to join us in congratulating Nick and all the team for not only giving us a wonderful performance but also raising a terrific amount of money for a range of great causes.
