David Tennant signs for series four of Doctor Who

According to the Daily Mirror, David Tennant has signed to continue as the Doctor for all of series four of Doctor Who.

The Mirror says that Tennant has signed a £1 million deal for his part in the fourth series of Doctor Who, despite previous rumours which indicated that he would leave half way through series four.

The Mirror quotes a source as saying: One source said: “To be honest, David was never going anywhere. He loves to create an air of mystery about his role in Doctor Who, and when he might leave, so he’s happy for people to speculate about his departure. But the truth is he’s finished filming the third series and he’s signed a contract to appear in the whole of the next series.”

The BBC has yet to confirm this, with a spokeswoman saying only that “it’s too early to talk about the fourth series yet”.

The Daily Mirror article also contains a spoiler for part of the series.

All of this is great news – Doctor Who fans have never had it so good, and, with the Daleks back in season three, neither have Dalek fans.
