I don’t know, you wait over forty years for the Daleks to appear in a pantomime and then two shows come along at once.
Following our story of 9 July, it seems that the Daleks are to appear in another production of Aladdin, this time at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Alongside them is John Barrowman looking predictably dashing in an Aladdin outfit.

With John in the cast is Don MacLean (anyone old enough to remember that gag, MacLean, yes, I had a bath this morning!), the Grummbleweeds, Masashi Fujimoto, Pete Gallagher and the quite stunning Lila McConigley as Princess Yasmin.
The production features ‘breaktaking special effects, costumes and a spectacular 3D digital genie and carpet ride viewed using 3D glasses. Whether the 3D glasses will show the ‘void stuff’ surrounding Captain Jack is not reported.
The show runs from Wednesday 19 December through to Sunday 27 January. It’s not Christmas without a panto and what better panto than one with Daleks in it?
Thanks to Adrian Wiltshire for alterting us to this one. You can also find out more about this on John Barrowman’s Web site.
