Russell T Davies confirms season four of Doctor Who

In an interview with the Telegraph, Russell T Davies has confirmed that Doctor Who has been commissioned for a further series – and another Christmas special.

In a superb interview with The Telegraph, Russell T Davies has confirmed that Doctor Who will return for at least another year and another Christmas special. Davies is just putting the finishing touches to the script for the 2007 Christmas special – though he doesn’t (of course) reveal any of the details.

The interview – possibly one of the best we’ve seen given by Davies, who, let’s face it, isn’t publicity-shy – covers his work with Doctor Who in depth and also encompasses many of his other projects, such as Queer As Folk, The Grand and Mine All Mine. (He sees The Grand as a failure. Well, quite honestly Russell, we loved it, even though it was a ratings failure in the end!)

There are also some nice production insights – such as the fact that there are actually three TARDISes – not counting the CGI versions. And, for us Dalek fans, lots of information about the Daleks, but no spoilers about the upcoming Daleks In Manhattan episode.
