Interalia Theatre tells us that ticket sales are far in excess of expectation for their latest production, the recreation of the 1960’s classic Doctor Who adventure, the Dalek Masterplan.
Tickets sales are also well ahead of sales for the previous production, Evil of the Daleks. Currently around 1000 tickets have been sold, which means that for some of the productions they are getting decidedly thin on the ground (less than 100 tickets left for one performance) – with spaces also running out for the mini-convention to be held on the Saturday.
Confirmed guests for the mini-convention (called ‘Return of the Daleks’) include Rob Shearman (the writer of ‘Dalek’), Barnaby Edwards (Dalek operator), Nicholas Briggs (the voice of the Daleks) and Terry Molloy (who played Davros in the classic series and in the current Big Finish audio adventures).
To promote the event, the cast and crew are appearing with Daleks in and around Portsmouth over the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled – and your blastic bullets and nitro-9 primed.
The really is an event not to be missed. Last year’s stage production was outstanding, and this production – which we understand will be the last officially authorised stage version of a classic Dalek story – promises to be something really special. Don’t miss out on those last tickets!
