Interalia Theatre has released a trailer for the upcoming stage production of The Dalek Masterplan.

The trailer begins with action from last year’s production of Evil of the Daleks and includes some of the special CGI shot for this year’s show.

The show takes place at The New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth from Wednesday 24 October through to Saturday 27 October. On the Saturday, there is also going to be a convention, running before the matinee performance, with special guests including Terry Molloy, Nicholas Briggs and Barnaby Edwards.

As with the previous show, the proceeds from the production are to be given to charity and good causes.

Tickets sales have been very brisk and far exceed the sales for the previous year’s production.

The play features a script which has been adapted from the epic thirteen-episode format (including Mission to the Unknown) down into a format suitable for stage and for today’s audiences.  Nick Scovell, who plays the Doctor and who has adapted the script, believes that this editing is essential for the older stories to reach today’s audiences – who are used to a much faster pace of story. It certainly worked with Evil of the Daleks, which works extremely well on stage.

The production will only be staged once and is likely to be the last time that any classic Dalek story appears on the stage – so don’t miss it.

Tickets are available now.
