Steve Moore is one of the UK’s leading comic book writers – best known to Dalek fans for the creation of Abslom Daak, the chainsaw-wielding Dalek killer (sentenced to death or a career killing Daleks, he chose the latter).
This is a great in-depth interview with someone who doesn’t normally give interviews, so is a real treat.
The interview details not only Daak’s creation, influences and intended development, but also includes a full outline that Steve wrote in 1990 for a ten-part comic book mini-series called ‘After Daak’. It also has one or two other surprises, including full details of an outline for a Daak comic strip that was never completed – and which Steve can’t even remember writing!
The site also contains a review of Altered Vistas’ adaptation of Abslom Daak – Dalek Killer by Steve! (Not to mention a review of Black Legacy by Alan Moore, who wrote it back at the start of his illustrious career – can Altered Vistas achieve the impossible and adapt one of his scripts in a way that he enjoys? Find out on the site!)
