Julian Bleach named as the new Davros

The Daily Mirror claims that actor Julian Bleach will play Davros in the season finale of series four of Doctor Who.

The Daily Mirror says that Julian Bleach, best known for playing the monster in an ITV production of Frankenstein, will play Davros, the creator of the Daleks.

This is, please note, not confirmed by the BBC – remember that newspapers were claiming previously that Davros would be played by Sir Ben Kingsley (who scuppered the stories by saying he had no idea what they were on about).
According to the Mirror, a source from the show has said: “It’s an explosive finale. We want him to come back and cause havoc.”

Interestingly, Julian Bleach is also to appear in an episode of Torchwood, episode 10: “A spooky circus; a reel of film that won’t stop playing; and a serial killer in Cardiff. Bizarre and unsettling, this guest stars Julian Bleach and Camilla Power.”
