Take part in a Dalek world record attempt

Project Dalek and the Dalek Builders Guild join forces in an attempt to create the largest gathering of Daleks ever seen.

The National Space Centre is hosting a one-day Dalek event – and attempting to break a Dalek world record.

Come along dressed as a Dalek as Project Dalek and the Dalek Builders Guild have join forces to create the largest gathering of Daleks ever seen.  You can buy or make your costume and will be counted as a Dalek if you are ‘recognisable’ as the ultimate metal meanie!

The current record is held by a gathering of 70 Daleks at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry.

The event also includes:

  • Meet Storm – The UK unveiling of the Super Dalek!
  • Dalek Build Display – how to build a Dalek
  • Memorabillia Collection – a collection of Books, Toys, Models and Memorabillia from the last 45 years
  • Daleks on Display  – the “Daleks Through Time” static display.
  • Trundling Daleks – meet them up close and personal!
  • Special Guests – Terry Molloy (Davros), Mat Irvine, Special Effects Designer, who has had a long association with K-9, and will be there with the original
  • On the Big Screen – Space Theatre Dalek quiz
  • Dalek Market – everything Doctor Who you ever wanted and more

It’s recommended that you book tickets in advance and don’t just turn up on the day – also, if you have an annual pass for the Space Centre, it’s not valid for this event.
