Thousands turn up to see Daleks at Yeovilton

Over 3500 people went to see a Dalek invation at the Fleet Air Arm Museum on Saturday – and thousands more were turned away.

If there’s any doubts as to the popularity of the Daleks, then the Dalek invasion of the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton should dispel them.

Over 3500 people turned up loast week to see twelve Daleks, and Colin Baker, the sixth Doctor and general all-round good supporter of Doctor Who events.

The event also featured lots of tradition stalls and sci-fi related activities. The museum was full by 11:30am – and around 2000 people had to be turned away as there was no more room.

The museum has said that it is considering having the event over a whole weekend next year. Good stuff – you can never have too many Dalek events.
