The Destroyers was to have been the pilot episode for an entire Daleks-only series, without The Doctor, which was planned by Dalek creator Terry Nation.
The story featured agents of the SSS (Space Security Service) as they fought the Daleks. The series was never picked up by American television – so the pilot episode remains unmade. The story will be a full-cast audio drama with Nicholas Briggs playing the voice of the Daleks.
The story will be available in a box set of ‘lost stories’ The Troughton Years, which will also include Prison in Space staring Frazer Hines and Wendy Padbury.
