Bognor Regis man makes full size Dalek from matchsticks

You’ve got to admire some people – like Brian Croucher, who made a full-size Dalek from 480,000 matchsticks.

Brian based the Dalek on a toy, which he scaled up to its full size of five feet and three inches.

The whole thing took him around two years to build, working a couple of hours each day.

Brian, who is 66, received bags of matchsticks from friends as birthday and Christmas presents.

The Dalek is fitted with casters and a voicebox. Sadly, Brian now finds that the Dalek just takes up too much room, so he’s open to offers if someone wants to buy it.
