The Royal Mint unleashes limited edition Dalek medals

The UK’s Royal Mint has created two limited edition Dalek medels, one in silver and one in gold.

It has to be said the medals do look rather nice, though the prices are a touch eye-watering in these credit-crunch times.

The sterling silver medal is a limited edition run of 5,000 and costs £35.00 (plus £29.95 post and packaging in the UK). The gold medal is a limited edition run of just 500 and costs (wait for it) £150.00, again excluding the nearly £3 postage and packing.

Each medal comes with a ‘stylish case’ (a box to you and I) and a certificate of authenticity.

Despite the costs, these are likely to be a good investment and they are certainly well made, desirable items. Add them to your Christmas wishlist.
