Day of the Daleks to feature new effects and voices

The upcoming DVD special edition of Day of the Daleks will feature new special effects and Dalek voices.

At the Time & Space Convention, it was announced that the classic Doctor Who story, Day of the Daleks, will be released in 2011.

The release will include a special edition, which will include new special effects and Dalek voices (this removing some of the weaker aspects of this classic tale).

The story was first transmitted in January 1972 and was the first time that the third Doctor was pitted against the Daleks.

A firm release date has not yet been set.
