First redesigned Dalek toys begin to surface

The first Dalek toys, featuring the recent redesign, have begun to appear on the Web.

It was inevitable. We’ve all bought the previous Dalek toys, so what to do? I know, we’ll redesign the Daleks.

Within Doctor Who/Dalek fandom, the new Dalek redesign has not gone down at all well, with very few people warming to it – but it does seem that we’re stuck with it.

New toys have started to appear on line, although as far as we are aware, none have appeared in the shops yet – they are listed as due in August 2010.

The Desktop Patrol Dalek wanders around your desk, using sensors to stop it bumping into things or falling of the desk.

Whether you like the new Daleks is a personal thing, but we personally don’t think we’ve seen such a badly designed Dalek toy since Dapol went out of business. The sad thing is, unlike the Dapol toys, these look like the real thing.
