Dalek decides to remain in Travelodge

Among the strangest items that guests have left in Travelodge rooms over the last year is a full-size Dalek.

According to BBC News, guests at a Travelodge somehow managed to forget that they had brought a full-size Dalek with them, and left it in the room when they departed.

That does seem hard to comprehend, especially when you consider how much trouble it must have been to get it into the room in the first place. We’ve decided that the Dalek wanted to stay and is possibly feigning a deactivated state until the opportunity arises to implement its plans to dominate the world.

Other, less interesting things left in Travelodges include the keys to a Rolls-Royce car, a £50,000 watch and £10,000 in cash.

Frankly, if anyone out there is tired of owning such items, please just forward them to us, we’ll be happy to take them off your hands.
